In an official launch and exchange of agreements with SiteGiant and Kumoten witnessed by Datuk Yasmin Mahmood, CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Commerce.Asia is now set to disrupt the entire e-commerce industry by aggregating the existing technology enablers to ease business transition towards being fully e-commerce. It has since invested and is collaborating with two technology enablers; Kumoten and SiteGiant.
Kumoten is a dropshipping service transforming the online selling process into an extremely simple and efficient process. By providing the inventory, storage, packing and delivery that is wholly online and real-time, Kumoten is currently a one-stop solution centre for over 22,000 of their registered users.
The other e-commerce enabler that Commerce.Asia invested in is SiteGiant, a comprehensive service provider for entrepreneurs to streamline all their online sales presence. SiteGiant helps an entrepreneur to set up their own websites, mobile stores and Facebook Store along with integrated secure shopping cart, easily customisable templates and their own domain as well.
Along with the launch of the world’s first Digital Free Trade Zone (DTFZ) in Malaysia last year, e-commerce is expected to double the growth rate of SMEs’ goods export, increase overall goods export by US$25 billion, and create 60,000 jobs by 2025. To ensure Malaysian SME and industry players to enjoy the full benefits of this new age, Commerce.Asia is here to immediately cater to the region’s need of a comprehensive commerce omnichannel ecosystem.
Going live on PitchIN, a Malaysian equity crowdfunding (ECF) platform, on March 27th, Commerce.Asia is seeking RM3 million from the ECF endeavour while the other RM2 million will be raised from private investors. Just one and a half weeks through, Commerce.Asia has already raised 50% of their RM5million target.
While their envisioned omnichannel marketing and e-commerce is already a gamechanger for Malaysian SMEs, it is only the beginning as Commerce.Asia sets its eyes on being the regional and global leader in the industry.
